What's the fastest way to find a specific guide?

Use the Guides dropdown in the main menu for quick access from anywhere in the app, or browse this page and filter by category. Both list every guide we've published — including Vertical Gardens, Grow Media, Propagation, Water & Oxygenation, Plant Types, and the Glossary.

What's the difference between the Guides and the App Guide?

The guides on this page cover hydroponic growing itself — systems, nutrients, lighting, troubleshooting and more. The separate App Guide covers how to use the HiGroPonics app: logging activities, AI health checks, and sharing your grows.

Which guide should I read first?

Start Here, if you're new to hydroponics — it covers the core concepts every other guide assumes you already know. If you've already got a system running, use the category filters above to jump straight to whatever topic you need.

Do I need to read every guide before I start growing?

No. They're written as standalone references, not a course — read what's relevant to your current setup and come back for the rest as questions come up.

Are the guides written for beginners or experienced growers?

Both. Each one leads with plain-language explanations, then layers in the detail experienced growers look for — difficulty ratings, target ranges, and calculations — so it stays useful as you progress.

How often are the guides updated?

Regularly, as growing practices and equipment change. Each individual guide shows the month it was last updated.

Hydroponic Learning Resources

Everything you need to grow hydroponically — from first principles to advanced techniques.

This page is the complete library — every guide we've published, including a few that don't have a shortcut in the main menu. Each one is a standalone reference written to save you the trial-and-error most new growers go through: wrong nutrient strength, wrong light height, a system picked for the wrong space.

New to hydroponics? Read Start Here first — it covers the concepts every other guide assumes you already know. Already growing? Use the category filters below to jump straight to what you need, or check the Glossary if you just need a term explained. None of these are required reading in order — each guide stands on its own.
